The Bousquet family hail from the city of Carcassonne, in the South of France and have 4 generations of history in the winemaking tradition. Their passion is to produce wines of superior quality and this is what lead them to Argentina to begin a new chapter.
Jean Bousquet began a boutique venture with his own unique signature in Tupungato, Uco Valley in Argentina. Currently farming more than 40 hectares of organic grapes, as well as a winery and restaurant.
The Bousquet family left the south of France in search of a unique place. They found it in Mendoza. Pure soils. Extreme altitude. A terroir that changes everything. In 1997, they purchased virgin land in Gualtallary and started from scratch. Vineyards at 1,200 meters above sea level. Cold air. Intense sunlight. Perfect conditions for exceptional wine. Since then, we have worked with one simple idea: to unite European tradition with the power of the Andes.
The grapes are hand-harvested in small boxes. Alcoholic fermentation at 28c takes place for 10 to 12 days followed by malolactic fermentation. It is then aged in concrete vats.
Contains: Sulphites.
This wine presents intense red fruit aromas. It is very elegant at the palate, with a touch of spice and round tannins.
