The climate in California is hot, however morning mists and breezes blown in from the Pacific Ocean help cool the premium grape-growing areas. Regulating the temperature in this way slows the ripening of the grapes allowing intense complex flavours to develop. Chardonnay is the most popular plant, and wines can be simply region labelled, or may be harvested by smaller growers and vineyard labelled. The use of strong Oak is popular and full-bodied, intense rich citrus and ripe peach notes are characteristic.
A bright hue and medium straw in colour. This wine is filled with big, bright fruit aromas of pear and peach. The wine is viscous and creamy in the mouth. All the flavour promised by the nose is amply delivered with a long finish
