France - Provence

This region has a warm Mediterranean climate but is by no means uniform due to the presence of both mountains and coastal plains.

The region is predominantly known for its rosé wines which are usually dry.

Fungal diseases are less of a problem here (due to the climate) than anywhere else in France.

Wine making in Provence dates back as far as 600 BC.
