Since April 2024, Les Arbillons have also ventured into Provence. The vineyard is located in Vidauban, known as “white vine,” in the heart of a lush plateau overlooked by the wooded foothills of the Massif des Maures, in the Var department. Not far from the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, it benefits from a Mediterranean climate with continental influences that allow the vines to reveal their finest secrets.
Martin Caietta manages the 9 hectares, drawing on his experiences in winemaking from Burgundy and Corsica, all while respecting Provençal practices.
The story of Les Arbillons has been unfolding for several years, fueled by the desire of a family deeply rooted in Burgundy, eager to reconnect with its rural roots, and by the encounter with passionate winemakers from the Mâconnais region, keen to pass on a family heritage.
It is through the union of the Domaine des Perrelles by Jean-Yves Larochette, the Domaine de Pierre-Yves Balvay, and the Cave du Père Tienne that Les Arbillons was born in 2021, with vineyards located in the Commune of Vidauban, Var. Red soils, clay-limestone pellets and fine silt. Organic farming methods are followed.
The grapes are harvested at night to preserve the freshness of the fruit, a traditional vinification is followed and the wine is aged on fine lees in stainless steel tanks with minimal additives.
