Founded in 1928, the planting and layout of our estate was developed by our father, Edmond Duclaux. Today the brothers work manually on the 5.8 hectares of vines on the narrow hillside of the Tupin and Semons hillside. We want our Côte-Rôtie to reflect the southern terriors of the Côte-Rôtie appellation, expressing the finesse and balance of the gneiss soils.

Côte-Rôtie 'La Germine' Côte-Rôtie
Origin: Côte-Rôtie, Rhône, France
Cuvée produced on the terraces and slopes of the southern slopes of the Côte-Rôtie appellation composed of Gneiss. Large proportion of vines from 30 years old yielding around 35 hl / ha.
Vinification
100% crushed, 3 weeks maceration in temperature regulated tank. A lengthy 22 months in oak barrels and half-muids of which only 20% are new oak.

Winemaker's Notes
Deep colored ruby color. Stylish and elegant nose, black fruits, spices, smoky notes. The mouth is both full and silky. Lots of volume and long lasting in the mouth.

This cuvée comes from the cadastred place of Maison Rouge. This beautiful terrace hillside overlooks the old house of the Archbishop of Vienna. Soils: This part of Red House rests on a rock of Gneiss.
Vinification
Manual harvest. 100% scraped, 3 weeks maceration in temperature-regulated tanks. Maturing 20 months in barrels and demi-muids of which 40% is new oak.

Winemaker's Notes
The Côte-Rôtie is a wine that guards its secrets. Lovers of old vintages will keep them 10-15 years before they taste. However, Côte-Rôtie can be appreciated as soon as bottled, the wine will present aromas of black fruits, spices and a dense mouth characteristic of the Côte-Rôtie on their youth.
