The area is known for its climatic conditions dominated by a pronounced difference in its day and nighttime temperatures. The vineyards are located at the foot of the Costal Monutain Range providing excellent solar exposure needed for quality grape production.

Winemaker's Notes

Intense, fruity aromas with well-emphasized touches of peach, mango and pineapple. The forward fruit and un-oaked flavours are followed by a big, luscious finish.

Viña Milla Sauvignon Blanc

Origin: Central Valley

Our entire vineyards are carefully tended with affection and with respect for the natural surroundings. The grapes in our Viña Milla Sauvignon Blanc wine come from our own three vineyard in the Valle Central in Chile. The vineyards were planted in flat and low ridges in places with natural condition s perfect for the growth of grapevines.

Vinification

Hand-harvested by early morning in February once reaching natural maturity. The grapes are whole-cluster pressed. The must is decanted at low temperatures ranging 5-8°C, and then fermented in stainless steel tanks with selected yeasts at 14-16°C for a twenty day period. The wine is then kept in stainless steel guard tanks for three months before bottling.

Winemaker's Notes

Viña Milla SB has a bright yellow tint with glints of green. Its prominent aromas of lime blend harmoniously with herbs and floral notes. In the mouth it is soft, citric and refreshing on the palate.

The area was selected for its climatic conditions dominated by a pronounced difference in its daytime and night time temperatures. The vineyards are located at the foot of the Coastal Mountain range providing excellent solar exposure which is ideal to the production of quality grapes.

The ‘Huaquén’ wine range was named in honour of the Huaquén estate in the central valley of Chile. The word Huaquén means ‘Places of noises’ in their indigenous language.

Vinification

The rich soil and crystal clear mountain water from the nearby Andes Mountains create near perfect conditions for growing the grapes to produce this wine.

Huaquén Reserva Carmenere, , Huaquén

Huaquén Reserva Carmenere

Origin: Colchagua Valley

The Huaquen vineyards are carefully tended with affection and with respect for the natural surroundings. The grapes in our Reserva Carmenere wine come from the 60-hectare vineyard in the Colchagua Valley in Chile, a place renowned for the perfect natural conditions required for the growth of grapevines.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand when they have reached optimal maturity. In order to extract colour and aromas, the must is interfused with its skin for three days at low temperatures. The must is then fermented for seven days in stainless steel tanks with selected yeasts at temperatures ranging from 26° to 28°C (79° to 82° F). The wine is next left to macerate for an additional ten days to extract its fruity characteristics. Then, 50% of the wine is aged in oak barrels for six to eight months.

Winemaker's Notes

Huaquen Reserva Carmenere is an intense wine, wild purple in colour. From start to finish, touches of tobacco, and red and black cherries intermingle, producing a great potency in the mouth. It possesses a generous body with smooth and friendly tannins. It is a well rounded wine with a juicy and lingering finish.

Huaquen Pinot Noir Reserva wine possesses a clear brilliant ruby red colour and emphasizes aromas of cherries and raspberries well combined with soft notes of oak. In the mouth it boasts smooth and elegant tannins followed by a sophisticated finish.
