Good quality champagnes from Roland Bauchet.
Bauchet is the largest family-owned vineyard in Champagne. With a hands on approach the Bauchet family have several important aspects to making quality champagne. At 3yrs ageing they are double the time requirement for Brut NV, they only use grapes from their own vineyards and they use less than average dosage levels to maintain the freshness. Combined with the ideal vineyard location of ‘Les Riceys’, Cote des Blancs’ and ‘Montagne des Reims’ this helps to produce the unique style of Roland Bauchet.
The grapes are picked entirely by hand and pressed. Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Bottled in the Bauchet cellars in Bisseuill, Marne.
A steady, creamy sparkle enhances the flaxen gold colour of this champagne with its predominance of Pinot noir grapes. On the nose, we find harmonious fruit aromas, particularly reminiscent of pears and raspberries. This is a full, round wine that leaves good impressions on the palate.
