Bauchet Champagne Tasting at the Duncombe Arms

We had the pleasure of an Evening with Florence Bauchet from Champagne Bauchet talking to us about her Champagne's and we have to say these are truly wonderful!

The Bauchet Rosé Brut 'Seduction' is reminiscent of the colour of rose petals, the first nose is fruity and floral. Raspberry and roses combine with biscuit aromas. and after airing, fresh ripe cherries and peonies appear with aromas of strawberry liqueur and blackcurrant

The Bauchet Cuvée Origine Brut has a clear finish that is slightly mineral and effervescent. The general flavour is fruity, slight tangy, with hints of toasted bread. When you let it breathe, this cuvée becomes even more full-bodied and welcoming.

For something extra special the Bauchet 1er Cru Cuvée Signature Brut has aromas of white fruit (pears, apples), with touches of citrus and flowers. Vibrant and dynamic on the palate, with nice volume. The finish has a nice length, chalky and vivacious, leaving notes of honey and orange jam.

An the Bauchet 1er Cru Cuvée Mémoire is a highly classical Champagne, which expressed itself gently and elegantly. Its aromatic balance hovers between freshness and a feeling of early maturing, its softened effervescence and balanced sugar/acidity combination make it particularly attractive.
