Chateau Tour St Bonnet is a well renowned Cru Bourgeois estate in the Medoc appellation of Bordeaux. The 40 hectares under vine is planted with 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot and 5% Malbec which have an average age of 35 years.

Vinification

Jacques Merlet who runs the estate prefers to age the wines for 18 months in large oak foudres rather than in the new wood barrels that give the accompanying vanilla flavours.

Winemaker's Notes

The 2010 exhibits classic cedar wood, tobacco leaf, creme de cassis, liquorice and some balsam wood notes in a strong, medium to full-bodied, layered style with good opulence, purity and overall harmony.
