The Baccara estate is situated in the centre of the Beaujolais region and covers 16 hectares around the village of Saint Etienne la Varenne. Typically half of the estate's production is vinified and sold immediately as Beaujolais-Villages Nouveau, and the other half matured traditionally as Beaujolais-Villages.

Harvested in September. Half of the estate's production is vinified and sold as Beaujolais-Villages Nouveau and the other half traditionally as Beaujolais-Villages. The wines age in oak barrels with the best care in vaulted cellars in which the natural air-conditioning facilitates their maturation and preservation. They are kept for 6 months in the cellar before being bottled on the estate.
Rather deep ruby robe with brilliant purple tints. Red fruits (strawberry, redcurrant) predominate on the nose, associated to fragrance of flowers (succulent rose, peony).Beautiful structure in the mouth and soft silky tannins. The flavour is full with vitality ; good aromatic persistency.
