Chapel Down Brut

Origin: Kent, ENGLAND

The first vines were planted at Tenterden in the late 1970's and the vineyard has been continuously producing English wines from this site ever since. Chapel Down makes only World Class wine from grapes grown in vineyards in Kent and across the South East corner of England. Grapes are sourced from our own vineyards and professional growers, here, the geology and climate combine to provide the perfect terroir for cool climate wines.

Vinification

Fruit is sourced from vineyards across the South-East. Grapes are grown predominantly on single and double guyot pruning systems, on varied soils including chalk, clay and loam. Cool fermentation in stainless steel followed by full malolactic fermentation. This wine has been matured on fine lees in tank for six months before bottling and has had an average of 18 months further ageing on lees in bottle.

Winemaker's Notes

Chapel Down Brut NV is a classic example of quality English sparkling wine with aromas of red apple, citrus fruits and freshly baked bread, together with hints of strawberry and quince on the palate and fine persistent bubbles.
